The Handwashingforlife® Institute is a global organization and an international leader in identifying and advocating end-to-end best practices in hand hygiene. The company provides independent, objective and unbiased advice; in a practical, affordable and sustainable manner.

Our Mission: “To reduce the pain and suffering from nosocomial & foodborne illness caused by poor hand & surface hygiene”.

The Institute was established in 1999 under the leadership of Jim Mann. Jim has over 30 years of industry experience and currently co-chairs the Coalition for Clean Hands with the Centre for Disease Control in Atlanta. He has been recognized by NSF, NEHA and the FDA as a leading authority on hand hygiene and is a frequent presenter and guest speaker on best practices. Mr Mann was recognized with an NSF life time achievement award in 2006 for contributions made by Handwashingforlife in expanding the awareness and understanding of risks associated with poor hand hygiene. The Institute has offices in the USA, Canada and South Africa.  And, since September 2011, we have launched our first office in the Middle East with Handwashingforlife® Turkey.
